Classification by Core Material
Polyurethane (PU) Sandwich Panels
Performance Characteristics: Thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/(m·K); closed-cell rate exceeding 95%; excellent thermal insulation and waterproofing; fire rating up to Class B1.
Applications: Deep-freeze and quick-freeze cold storage facilities operating below -18°C; currently the mainstream choice for large and medium-sized cold storage projects.

Polystyrene (EPS/XPS) Sandwich Panels
Performance Characteristics: Cost-effective and lightweight; XPS (extruded polystyrene) boards offer better moisture resistance than standard EPS boards; thermal conductivity is approximately 0.038 W/(m·K).
Applications: Fruit and vegetable preservation facilities (above 0°C) and short-term rental cold storage units.

Rock Wool Sandwich Panels
Performance Characteristics: Class A non-combustible; withstands high temperatures exceeding 600°C; outstanding fire resistance; thermal conductivity is approximately 0.040 W/(m·K).
Applications: Cold storage facilities in the food service or industrial sectors with strict fire safety requirements; requires additional moisture-proofing treatment.

Other Specialized Core Materials
Aerogel Composite Sandwich Panels: Ultra-thin with excellent thermal insulation; suitable for space-constrained environments.
Vacuum Insulation Panel (VIP) Sandwich Panels: Suitable for specialized ultra-low-temperature cold storage facilities.
